How to store carbon black to avoid moisture absorption?
Carbon black should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Since it has a high surface area that can adsorb moisture, we recommend:
Keeping the original packaging (paper bags or jumbo bags) intact until use.
Storing pallets off the ground on racks to prevent rising damp.
Maintaining a relative humidity below 60%. If a bag is opened, ensure it is re-sealed tightly or used promptly to maintain its performance in rubber compounding.
